The McWedding and Strange Royalty

By now, everybody knows that Nancy Shevell became Mrs. Paul McCartney yesterday afternoon (UK time).

And, whilst we're all glad for Macca and his new missus, we're also seeing something just a little different from his last trip to the altar:

First: He and Nancy just had a simple ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall (where he married Linda Eastman in 1969), rather than the lavish, over-the-top display when he and Heather Mills were hitched.
Second: It was almost fitting that the ceremony took place on what would've been John Lennon's 71st birthday. You've just got to believe that John was there, in spirit, pleased with what his old mate was doing (and, yes, I do believe that any old rifts would've been long healed, had John lived ...)
Third: The new Mrs. McCartney is already wealthy, so she didn't marry her hubby for the money (kind of neat, isn't it? I mean, to hear they married for love ...).
She also serves on the board of New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority and a VP of a big trucking company in New Jersey (it's owned by her father).
Fourth: She was introduced to Sir Paul by her cousin, Barbara Walters (yes, that one!), who thought they'd make a splendid couple. I understand that Barbara cried when the two of them were at the altar.

So we wish Sir Paul and his lovely Nancy a life of peace, harmony and love ... may it last a lifetime!

THE SALMON KING AND THE UNI Sometimes, even The Relic can't explain himself:

Two nights ago, I had a dream that actually ran as a movie in my mind. The setting was the cartoon Yellow Submarine, but, instead of Blue Meanies, there were Blue Fishers. And, instead of The Beatles, there was The Fore.

And they were being led, not by a Walrus, but by their leader, The Salmon King (their bass player). The leader of the Blue Fishers was The Uni.
And the Uni was trying to turn all the inhabitants into his electronic tunas.  The background music of the dream was Hello and Sophie Sands by The 286 ...
I awoke just as the Salmon King was leading a charge against the Blue Fishers ...
People, this was so awesomely graphic, so real, that I'm kind of hoping for a re-run in a future sleep! lol
