Yep ... you're going to be seeing them rrrrright hhhheeeer, on this ... vvvvery staaaaage ...in a few short clicks or so.
The plan is to give this puppy a chance to do some interactive barking for a change. For example:
Last night, I was informed by Sir Shackington, Chuck (of McConvey fame, he of Texan-raised) that the legendary Rock-Talk forum has been discontinued. Soooo, it was thus decided amongst the board members of the great RRR machine that we should create our own here ...
but ...
it ...
ain't ...
ready yet, so don't try to click on that link on the right, or you'll get confused.
Just like talkin' to me in person ...
But WAIT! There's MORE!! (saw a TV commercial that yelled those words, so, if it gets them more attention, why not try it myself??)
There'll also be more variety on the blog. You see, we're going in line with what we have online at other sites, but tying it all into the overall theme here.
NOW ... BACK TO THAT "FORUM" IDEA: Whilst I'm getting everything together to lunch (wait ... I had that: regular meal of a couple bits of crow followed by some slices of humble pie) launch, let me give you the reason:
It's in tribute to some of the greatest rock connisseurs of any age -- and the finest blokes to ever appear online or off: Chuck McConvey, the "Offbeat" John Hesterman and the legend himself, Ron Ryan. They're fab mates -- and, amongst them, a veritable encyclopedia of rock.
But ...
it's also in honour and tribute to the man who brought this Relic to the dance -- a cherished friend whom we all miss every day (especially when a Dave Clark Five song hits the air): our friend and partner-in-rhyme, the amazing Pete Dintino.
So stay tuned, campers: The party's just about to begin (PS Be sure to tell your friends -- including members of the old Forum) to join in.
Til then I'll ....
see ya on the FLIP side!
